CONVENTIONAL GEAR (Tail Wheel)
TRANSITION COURSE
- This Conventional Gear Transition Course is designed for
those with pilot certificates and is not designed for primary flight students.
Introduction tail wheel rides for student pilots are available.
- The average tail wheel transition time is 8 to 12 hours
with a minimum of 24 to 30 full stop take offs and landings; under varying
wind conditions. Less training time will not provide the pilot all of the
essential skills to maintain directional control.
- Hulley Aero Training does not rent aircraft, but does have
aircraft available for your use at Front Range Airport. We provide the
instructional service to prepare you to be a safe pilot
- The instructor for this course is the owner of Hulley Aero
Training, Bruce J. Hulley, ATP, CFII. He has been flying since 1955, starting
in an Aeronca 7AC (tail wheel) and has owned a Cessna 140 (tail wheel) since
1969. He has been teaching pilots since 1965 and has many thousands of hours
flying and teaching others in Tail Wheel Aircraft.
