HIGH ALTITUDE MOUNTAIN FLYING COURSE

  1. The cost varies with aircraft used.  You can use your own aircraft or rent one.  This course consists of a 4 hour ground school and 4 hours of flight time. The smallest aircraft for this course is a Cessna 172 with reduced fuel and no passengers.
     
  2. This course is designed to be an introduction and exposure to high altitude mountain flying in the Colorado Rockies. General aviation aircraft operation at established high altitude mountain airports is the objective of this course. This is not a bush pilot course or a course designed for mountain search and rescue or survey flying.

  4. Hulley Aero Training does not rent aircraft, but does have aircraft available for your use at Front Range Airport.  We provide the instructional service to prepare you to be a safe pilot.
     
  5. The flight and ground curriculum developed by Bruce J. Hulley, flying the Colorado Rocky Mountains since 1961 and owner of Hulley Aero Training, is used in this course. The curriculum is modified to meet the individual need of the student learner.
